Last month, she opened up to LetterBoxd in a TikTok clip and revealed that she credits director Sean for doing an ‘incredible’ job portraying the film’s complex characters.

‘I think Sean [Baker] is such an incredible filmmaker and is so dedicated to authentically portraying these interesting characters that not a lot of people are interested in putting up on a screen,’ she said.

‘So there are so many incredible actors that were able to bring these characters to life, and I think the film is funny and sad, and there’s a little bit of everything for everyone.’

Madison has previously appeared in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, the Scream franchise and Lady in the Lake.

Madison has already opened up about a highlight from Anora’s release: a screening that was thrown for real-life sex workers and strippers.

‘That was something I wanted to do for a long time,’ she said in an interview with Variety.

‘I could probably cry talking about it. It’s the most important thing because the movie is for sex workers. So that was really special.

‘Just to walk in and all of these amazing women are clapping with their heels, giving us applause. That was beautiful.’

After a buzzy premiere at the London Film Festival, Anora was released in theaters on October 18 with a $6 million budget.

Mikey was up for a Golden Globe for her role in Anora under the Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy category.

Madison tends to keep her personal life private, focusing much of her attention on her acting career.

While she shares glimpses of her life on social media, she generally maintains a low-key, reserved presence off-screen.
