EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: Prince Harry’s ex Chelsy Davy is glowing for gold

Prince Harry said last month that he was ‘exhausted’ by his lengthy legal battle to reinstate his taxpayer-funded police protection.

His ex-girlfriend Chelsy Davy is, meanwhile, a picture of good health. Chelsy, 39, who had an on-off relationship with the prince for seven years until 2011, looks radiant in a picture she shared online of her modelling new designs by her Aya Jewels brand.

She is wearing a Chunky Chain necklace that costs £120, a £105 Chunky Chain bracelet and a £110 Chunky Dome ring.

Last September, Chelsy announced she had given birth to her second child Chloe. In 2022, I disclosed that she had married hotelier Sam Cutmore-Scott and given birth to a boy, Leo.

Simeone Ashley’s attractive figures

Single  – so she announced two months ago – since parting from her boyfriend, high-powered lawyer and petrolhead Constantin ‘Tito’ Klein, Bridgerton star Simone Ashley is certainly putting her foot on the gas elsewhere.

I can disclose that the fortune she’s tucked away at the splendidly named Good Catch Entertainment – the company into which the 30-year-old pumps her earnings – has roared up to almost £1.8 million, double what it was only a year ago.

The actress first encountered Klein at the 2023 Monaco Grand Prix. The couple seemed very happy but reached the chequered flag at the beginning of this year.

Skipping the queue

Hailing from Irish grandparents and these days living at wife Catherine FitzGerald’s ancestral home, Glin Castle in Limerick, Sheffield-born actor Dominic West confesses he cheekily attempted to jump the queue to finally become an Irish citizen.

‘I’m trying,’ says the Old Etonian star, who played King Charles in Netflix hit The Crown. ‘My nephew works in the Irish Foreign Office and I said to him, ‘Come on, get me a fast-tracked passport’.’

West adds: ‘He referred me to someone else. No way, he wouldn’t be corrupted, he wouldn’t have anything to do with it.’

Camilla’s been a great mum says Queen’s son

King Charles spoke this week about the ‘daunting’ and ‘frightening’ experience of being told you have cancer.

And his stepson, Tom Parker Bowles, is increasingly conscious of how much time his parents have left.

‘Your parents matter,’ reflects The Mail on Sunday’s restaurant critic, whose father is Brigadier Andrew Parker Bowles, 85, first husband of Queen Camilla, 77. ‘My parents are getting older. Birth, death and taxes are the definites in life – it matters. If my mother asks for something, you try your best. She’s been a great mother to us.’

He adds of his parents: ‘We’re there for them as well – as they get older, you appreciate what they’ve done.’

Tom, 50, has two teenage children with his ex-wife, fashion editor Sara Buys. ‘[When young], you take your parents for granted – my children are that age now,’ he tells Gabby Logan on her podcast The Mid.Point, laughing. ‘They only ring if it’s, ‘Can I get some money please Dad?’

Branson and a red carpet drenching…

Always be on time for Sir Richard Branson.

Jason Felts, who ran his film company, recalls the Virgin tycoon grew so exasperated after a fellow film boss, Ryan Kavanaugh, failed to show up for a pre-arranged photo op with him on the red carpet at a premiere that he took matters into his own hands.

‘Richard was visibly annoyed, as he knew Kavanaugh’s office had insisted we be on time,’ Felts writes in his new book, Hollywood Virgin. When he did take a photograph of the pair, ‘just as I went to push the button, Richard lifted the open, half-drunk water bottle he’d been holding throughout the movie into the air and dumped it on Kavanaugh’s head. Kavanaugh… looked at Richard awkwardly in disbelief. ‘You mustn’t be late,’ Richard said with his enormous signature smile, ‘It’s rude.’

Youngsters have become louder

Old people used to complain that the young mumbled. Now, they claim that they are too noisy.

‘I find that when I go to mixed-age dinner parties the young all seem to be shouting,’ says a Spectator reader. ‘How can one tell them to pipe down without puncturing their ‘self esteem’?’ Agony aunt Mary Killen, best known for her turn on Gogglebox, agrees: ‘Young people’s voices have indeed become louder.’

She blames their ‘habit of wearing headphones and watching Netflix with subtitles so they can double-screen’ and says this ‘has compromised their ability to hear real-life voices and in response they shout’.

Her advice: ‘You could equip yourself with noise sensitivity loop earbuds.’
