Joe Exotic has shared wild details about his wedding with a fellow inmate in prison.
The Tiger King star, 62, shocked fans earlier this month when he announced he had married fellow inmate Jorge Flores Maldonado while serving a 21-year federal prison sentence.
Joe is currently serving his sentence in Federal Medical Center, Fort Worth, after being convicted in 2019 of hiring hitmen to kill his zookeeper rival Carole Baskin, while Maldonado is incarcerated for immigration-related issues.
Speaking to 2DayFM’s Jimmy & Nath Show, Joe revealed whether the couple had consummated the marriage.
‘No… absolutely not,’ he said after being asked if he and his husband had yet had sex behind bars.
Joe added that his spouse could be in danger from the Mexican cartel so he had to keep some things private.

‘He is going to be deported. I don’t want anything happening to him at the border, like the cartel kidnapping him because everybody thinks I am a millionaire,’ he explained.
Joe announced his shock nuptials on Twitter last week.
Sharing a photoshopped snap of the couple wearing suits for the big day, he quipped: ‘Never been more proud of someone. Meet my husband Jorge Flores Maldonado.’
Joe shared the news of their engagement back in October, as he told fans: ‘Meet Jorge Marquez. He is so amazing and is from Mexico.’
He added: ‘Now, the quest of getting married in prison and getting him asylum or we be leaving America when we both get out.
‘Either way, I wish I would have met him long ago.’
Joe, also known Joseph Maldonado-Passage, submitted a marriage application to the federal prison to wed Jorge.
His now-husband is serving time for immigration-related issues, according to a report from CBS News.

Both men were not only optimistic the prison would approve their wedding application, but also still have ‘high hopes’ that Joe’s appeal of his entire case, including his conviction for hiring hitmen to kill Baskin, will succeed.
He claims to have evidence such as ‘video confessions under oath’ and ‘700 phone recordings of federal agents’.
In 2019, Joe was convicted and sentenced to 22 years in prison on 17 federal charges of animal abuse and two counts of attempted murder for hire for the plot to kill Big Cat Rescue founder Baskin.
Two years later, after filing a motion for a new trial, a U.S appeals court ruled the convictions for the two murder attempts were wrongly treated as separate, and as a result reduced his sentence by one year, and ultimately re-sentencing him to 21 years in prison in January 2022.
Joe has been featured in several documentaries, including the hit Netflix series Tiger King (2020-2021), which showcased his career as a zookeeper and his feud with Baskin.
