Forget the Strictly Come Dancing curse, the former stars of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! have also suffered by ill-fated romances during their time in the jungle.
As well as this, there have been monetary woes, shocking affairs and downward spirals, meaning many celebs suffered tragedy after their stint on the ITV show.
Danny Jones is the latest star to fall victim to the dreaded ‘curse’ after he was caught sharing a ‘drunken kiss’ with Maura Higgins at a BRITs afterparty last week.
The married McFly star, 38, who has been married to his wife Georgia for over a decade, got close with his former campmate Maura.
Footage shared with The Sun showed the pair getting cosy at the venue where they had also shared a table earlier in the night with their I’m A Celeb co-star Oti Mabuse.
Unlike Strictly, which has been the starting point for many successful marriages and relationships, none of the couples spawned from I’m A Celeb have worked out.
Here, MailOnline delves into the I’m A Celebrity curse and looks at the stars who met and broke up after starring on the show and other troubles they faced…

Danny has been married to wife Georgia since 2014 and the pair share seven-year-old son Cooper.
I’m A Celebrity co-stars Maura and Danny sat at different tables for the actual ceremony which was held earlier in the night at the 02 Arena.
At the BRITs ceremony Maura was sat at the same table with Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo, with only one table in between her and ex Pete, but the pair didn’t go near one another.
While Danny was a few tables away with McFly star Tom.
Danny’s wife Georgia made no mention of her husband in the latest episode of her podcast on Monday, released just hours after his kiss with Maura.
Georgia, 38, held the fort at home while the McFly star jetted out to Australia in November to compete in I’m A Celebrity at the end of last year – where he was crowned King of the Jungle.

Last month Georgia revealed she had headed on a solo rural cabin retreat without the singer to recover from burnout.
In a candid post, Georgia has revealed that the pressures of solo parenting and moving house on her own during that time resulted in her feeling burnt out.
‘Over a month of solo parenting, moving house on my own, working hard on my career whilst Danny was in the jungle with snakes in his pants was A LOT!’ she wrote.
So heading into the New Year, Georgia revealed she needed to ‘do something for me’ and booked a wholesome woodland retreat with cabin company Unyoked.
Georgia took herself to snowy Shropshire where she stayed in a cabin and chopped wood, built a fire, enjoyed some reading time and soaked up nature.

She said at the time: ‘I want to throttle him.
‘I’m looking forward to getting hold of his suitcase in the Versace hotel and going through his shirts to cut them up, just like the ones I’ve done at home.’
Mark and Cerys split after three months.

He told The Sun at the time: ‘Emily is a lovely person and a very pretty girl but there is no romantic interest there for me and I am not interested in starting a relationship with her.
‘When you are in the jungle you have a bit of a friendly flirt but that is as far as it went. I am single and want to be on my own. I won’t deny she is a good catch but that is not how I feel about her.’

He told the paper: ‘Seven hours into the Emirates flight, we crept out of our seats and went up different aisles to the toilets.
‘Once we got inside we stood in there kissing passionately for what seemed like ages. When we crept out again I was really para that people were looking at us.’
However, the pair called time on their romance after just a few short weeks of being back in the UK.
The romance soured when they got back home after Amy called Joey her ‘little brother’ in an interview and he says he grew tired of her games.

After they left the jungle, Ferne told Fabulous magazine: ‘He’s a good-looking boy and I appreciate he’s gorgeous. I just want to spend more time with him, so watch this space.
‘I’m pretty certain it’s just going to be a fantastic friendship.’
She later said: ”We’ve seen each other loads since we’ve been back. We have kissed but there were no tongues… It was kind of like a Christmas peck.
‘It’s funny, you spend so much time with people in there that when I got back I had serious separation anxiety from him. I just wanted to see him and Vicky.’
In July 2018, upon the release of his debut solo single Technicolour, the singer came out as gay.
Jacqueline Jossa

Queen Of The Jungle Jacqueline chose to go on the show in 2019 to boost her profile after her longtime acting stint on EastEnders
Queen Of The Jungle Jacqueline chose to go on the show in 2019 to boost her profile after her longtime acting stint on EastEnders.
The actress, 32, who rose to fame as Lauren Branning on the BBC soap, was left struggling for money after quitting the soap – forcing her into camp life.
She told MailOnline at the time: ‘Once you’re gone, when you’re not on the show [EastEnders], you don’t have money. Done! You’re not paid anything else.
‘I’m going to have to do like a shoot. People go, “Why are you selling your soul?” I’m feeding my kids. That’s the difference. I’m not embarrassed, I’m not ashamed.’
Jacqueline is currently battling with In The Style after she publicly hit out at the fashion retailer last week.
She demanded to be ‘paid what she is owed’ after ‘bringing in lawyers as the fashion retailer faces administration’.
Jacqueline was forced to address the brand directly on social media after claiming she ‘can’t get a response from anyone at the company’.
Back in 2020, Jacqueline signed with the online fashion brand in a deal thought to be worth £1million.

The EastEnders star has reportedly consulted her lawyers over an unpaid ‘five-figure sum’ amid her collaboration with the fashion brand.
The fashion company was founded by Adam Frisby in 2013, but was acquired by UK-based private equity firm Baaj Capital for £1.2million in March 2023.
Ben Armstrong, became managing director in December 2023 when Frisby stepped down from his position, but he has since left the business.
Taking to her Instagram stories on Thursday, Jacqueline wrote: ‘After four glorious years working with In The Style, I never thought my time with the brand would end this way, but in truth since I or my team can’t get a response from anyone at the company, the decision has been made for me.
‘My name and image is still being used all over the website, helping the brand to sell stock, yet I haven’t been paid for months.’
She continued: ‘I see them signing up new faces and continuing to launch new collections and I feel it’s my responsibility to let the new girls know that their contract is unlikely to be honoured and they are unlikely to be paid.
‘After I threatened to speak out, last week, the MD requested a call with me during one of the businesses weeks of my career for EE live and had the disrespect to not show up leaving me and my team on the call for 20 mins before we logged off.
‘He has since not responded to any emails.’

Taking to her Instagram stories on Thursday, she wrote: ‘After four glorious years working with In The Style, I never thought my time with the brand would end this way’

She finished the series of posts by urging the In The Style team to contact her and ‘pay what she is owed’
Jacqueline explained she has never publicly spoken out about any brand she has worked with but ‘at this point I can no longer protect a brand that’s disrespecting’ her and ‘all the other girls that have not been paid’.
She pleaded: ‘All I wanted to do was part amicably and be paid what I’m owed. Please feel free to DM me if you are affected by the same mistreatment. In the meantime girls, I urge you to think twice before shopping there!
‘As you probably are aware I haven’t posted about them since before Christmas, they are still using my images and selling my collections.. no idea where the money is going but it’s all very odd.’
A company can be put into administration if it’s in debt and can’t pay the money it owes.
A limited company can then be liquidated if it cannot pay its debts. The people or organisations a company owes money to can apply to the court to get their debts paid.
In The Style is said to be on the brink of insolvency and have apparently brought in FTS Recovery to act as administrator, according to Sky News.
A source suggested that ‘a pre-pack insolvency potentially involving Baaj Capital’ could be a possible outcome.
The soap star went on to thank previous CEO Adam Frisby, who stepped down from the role in December 2023, as well as his partner Jamie Corbett who was also involved in the company.

So everything she was earning, including her I’m A Celebrity fee, had to go to the friends she borrowed thousands from.
The TV star told the publication: ‘I was robbing Peter to pay Paul. I borrowed £13,000 off friends otherwise I’d have been on the streets. I’d hear the bailiffs knocking but I wouldn’t answer. It’s not nice – you can’t describe it.
‘I earnt £40,000 before Christmas but I never saw a penny of it. I thought I could pay back the people I owed but it went straight to the receivers.’
She added: ‘When they announced the bankruptcy I felt shame. I felt disgraced. You don’t want to go out anywhere or see anybody. You feel people are looking at you.’
