A 15-year-old girl was allegedly grabbed by two men who tried to pull her into a vehicle as she walked along a residential street.
The teenager was strolling along Colebrook Road in Plymouth on Sunday when the incident occurred.
She was able to flee and was unharmed, with the police called to the scene at around 6.55pm that day.
Devon and Cornwall Police are now treating the incident as an attempted kidnap.
The force have now launched an appeal urging anyone with information to come forward as they try to locate the two suspected males.

The force told Plymouth Live: ‘Police were called following a report of an attempted kidnap in Plymouth.
‘It was reported that at around 6.55pm on Sunday 9 March a female was walking along Colebrook Road, Plymouth, when two males tried to pull her into a car.
‘The attempt was unsuccessful and the victim was able to escape unhurt. Enquiries are ongoing.’
