The Royal Family, still reeling from the contents of Prince Harry’s explosive memoirs, could soon be hit by further intimate revelations from a more unexpected source.
I can reveal that actress Susan George, the King’s former girlfriend, is writing her autobiography, sparking fears she may spill the beans about their romance.
The pair went on several intimate dinner dates before Charles married Diana in 1981, with reports that even at their most private moments, Susan still called him ‘Sir’.
The actress, whose fame soared after starring in the controversial 1971 film Straw Dogs alongside Dustin Hoffman, was hot property on the social scene before meeting her future husband, the actor Simon MacCorkindale.
She has remained the soul of discretion, never speaking publicly about her royal relationship and only referring to the then Prince of Wales as her ‘special individual’ when speaking with friends.
But there’s a chance she may break her silence in the memoir, which has the working title I Can Do Better.
She let slip news of the project at an event at Pizza Express Soho Jazz Club, revealing: ‘I am writing my book. It should be out by the end of this year.

‘I have been looking at my diaries and when I look back, I cannot believe how many films I made in one year. I made four once in one year back-to-back. I was so lucky.’
Susan, 74, now breeds Arabian horses and has a stud farm called Georgian Arabians.

Prince Harry launched his first wellness retreat for injured veterans in Nigeria last week. The Armed Forces Invictus Centre in Abuja features therapy rooms, a sports pitch, basketball court, a healing ‘peace’ garden for meditation, a theatre and a mosque as well as a pond with floating solar panels. Perhaps the Duke of Sussex will pay a visit when he needs a break from it all?
