Cole Sanford repeated his overtime heroics as Cardiff Devils edged Nottingham Panthers 1-0.
The two sides could not be separated after three goalless periods at the Vindico Arena, but Sanford struck the winner on 61 minutes with assists coming from Cody Donaghey and Evan Mosey.
Sanford also netted in overtime as Devils beat Coventry Blaze 4-3 on Saturday, a result which secured their place in the play-off quarter-finals.
Devils return to action on Wednesday when they take on league leaders Belfast Giants in the final of the Challenge Cup at the SSE Arena (19:00 GMT).
The Welsh side will be looking to add to the European title they won in January when they beat French side Bruleurs de Loups 6-1 to win the Continental Cup.
