British entertainers will tonight celebrate 40 years of Comic Relief with an action-packed Red Nose Day
Among the comedy acts and live performances is a sketch involving Inbetweeners stars James Buckley and Joe Thomas, who have reunited to play Oasis brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher.
Hosting the show, which raises vital funds for causes across the UK, are presenters Davina McCall, Joel Dommett, Alison Hammond, Rylan Clark, Jonathan Ross and Alesha Dixon.
Comic Relief: Funny For Money airs from 7pm on Friday March 21 on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

16-year-old James Corden Sketch leaves fans fuming
Fans were left fuming after the annual telethon chose to show a 16-year-old James Corden Sketch.
The actor, 46, played his Gavin and Stacey character Smithy in the comedy scene as he gave the England team, including David Beckham, a pep talk and originally aired in 2009.
Viewers were left unimpressed by BBC’s decision to show the old clip when Red Nose Day is famed for it’s brand new comedy every year.

Jamie Laing breaks £2M in donations
Jamie Laing broke down in tears after completing his gruelling Ultra Marathon challenge and raising an incredible £2,007,114 for Comic Relief.
The BBC Radio 1 presenter, 36, undertook the whopping 150-mile, five-day run from London to Salford and couldn’t contain his emotion and was comforted by wife Sophie Habboo as he crossed the finish line.
Chocking back tears a jubilant Jamie declared: ‘Thank you so much. That is unbelievable! You’re changing lives. Thank you so much!’.
He was met by cheering crowds as well as fellow Radio 1 hosts Greg James, Vick Hope and Jeremiah Asiamah who announced the eye-popping amount he’d raised.
Jamie gushed: ‘At one point I thought I was down and out. Mentally I was gone, physically I was broken. I didn’t have anything left in me. Something pulled me out. The last kilometre was the most euphoric thing I’ve ever had.’
Billy Monger raises £1.2M
Billy Monger was presented with a Guinness World Records title for the fastest time to complete the IRONMAN World Championship triathlon for Comic Relief.
During the show it was revealed his challenge had raised a huge £1,287,259.
He said: ‘I have never been so full of pride to be able to give back to people in that way. I’m so proud to be a part of it!’
‘I’ve always had my family’s support they have done everything and more. I wouldn’t be here today without them.’
The Traitors reunite!
Alexander, Charlotte, Fozia, Linda and Minah – some of the iconic contestants from series three of The Traitors – have reunited for a hilarious new sketch.
The brand-new and exclusive online sketch sees the Traitors go head-to-head in a bid to win the Rare Ruby Red Nose and be crowned the funniest Traitor of them all.
No shields, no cloaks and not a murder or banishment in sight – this is a fun-filled Red Nose Day battle of the laughs that will deliver a real treat for fans of the show.
With the Rare Ruby Nose firmly in their sights, each Traitor is tasked with donning their Red Nose and taking it in turns to make their fellow Traitors laugh by completing a different task.

Where do the donations go?
The money raised for Red Nose Day will provide vital funds that could help put food on plates and roofs over heads, keep little ones safe and help support families affected by conflict here in the UK and around the world.
Viewers complain show needs a shake-up
Just minutes into the show and some viewers are already less than impressed at the sketches, claiming the programme is in need of a change.
Oasis tickets are up for grabs!
James Buckley and Joe Thomas will be parodying Oasis for a Comic Relief sketch.
James and Joe – who starred together as Jay Cartwright and Simon Cooper in sixth form comedy ‘The Inbetweeners’ – will be portraying Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher, respectively, for the Red Nose Day sketch.
They will be be joined for the comedy skit by an all-star cast which includes Hugh Dennis, Martin Lewis, Micky Flanagan, Vernon Kay, Mark Silcox, Tasha Ghouri, Melvin Odoom, Roisin Conaty and Piers Morgan.
In a statement, Buckley, 37, said: ‘I had such a fun time with Joe, making this sketch for ‘Comic Relief’, and was honoured to be asked to be a part of it. And, of course, being a huge Oasis fan, getting to be Liam for the day was a dream come true.’
Thomas, 41, added: ‘I grew up watching ‘Comic Relief’ and the big sketch was always a highlight of the night. So it’s both thrilling and nerve-wracking to be a part of it.’
The BBC says viewers can ‘expect all the drama, sibling showdowns, and unexpected celebrity cameos, wrapped up in a heavy dose of Britpop nostalgia, iconic ’90s music moments, and cheeky humour’ in the sketch.
Comic Relief has also confirmed it will be giving away two VIP tickets in the Royal Box at Wembley Stadium on the ‘Oasis Live ’25’ reunion tour on Saturday 2 August, 2025.
The lucky winners also get a guitar signed by both Liam and Noel and a set of official tour merchandise.

What can we expect to see?
This Red Nose Day, Strictly Come Dancing will shine a spotlight on two brand new amateur professional dancers in a hilarious sketch for Comic Relief.
The hit BBC show, starring Tess Daly, 55, and Claudia Winkleman, 53, will follow the journey of Melissa (Rachel Parris) and Johnny (Russell Kane).
Two unlikely newcomers who take on the challenge of joining the Strictly professional lineup due to new inclusivity rules, which require a certain percentage of professionals to be… amateurs!
Filmed in an observational documentary style, the sketch will track their surprising audition process as they both land roles as Strictly’s first-ever amateur professional dancers.

Who is presenting the show?
This year’s extravaganza will mark the 40th anniversary of the fundraising event, meaning that the three-hour television extravaganza will be bigger and better than ever.
Returning to screens on Friday 21 March, TV fans can expect a night of hilarious sketches, mesmerising musical numbers, surprise moments and incredible live performances – all in a bid to raise vital funds for good causes across the UK and around the world.
Hosting the action live from Media City in Salford, Jonathan, Davina, Joel, Alison, Rylan, and Alesha will host the coverage on BBC One from 7-10pm.
