A light aircraft pilot who died after crashing into a field near Fife Airport has been named by police.
Nicholas Denison-Pender was killed in the incident near Kinglassie on Monday morning.
Emergency services were sent to the crash site but the 50-year-old, from Perthshire, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police Scotland said no-one else was injured and inquiries were ongoing.
The Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) said it was also investigating the crash near the airport – a small airfield used by local flying clubs.
Det Insp Samantha Davidson said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Nicholas as they come to terms with their loss.
“An investigation into the circumstances of the crash remains ongoing and we would ask for anyone with information, to please come forward.”
