Moment cyclist wields his bike lock to smash rear windscreen during heated road rage incident in London

A bike lock-wielding cyclist smashed a car’s windscreen on the streets of London during a heated road rage incident. 

Footage shows the man walking around a stationary black vehicle near a bus station with the lock in hand while someone asks ‘is someone filming this?’

He then smashes the back windscreen with the metal contraption before swinging it at another man who attempted to approach him as he was stood next to the car.

The man holding the bike lock can be seen wearing dark trousers, a navy jacket and is carrying a rucksack.

The incident is said to have taken place in Elephant and Castle in London on Saturday evening.

It is not clear what happened prior to the incident but a bike can been seen on the road in between the car and a bus. 

Several members of the public can be seen surrounding the car as the cyclist seems to chase a man around the car.

There are screams and gasps when the rear windscreen is smashed with several people seen filming the incident

One person can be heard saying ‘can you please stop’ while another asks ‘what are you doing?’

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), David Ross wrote: ‘Any retweets to help @metpoliceuk find this dangerous man who attacked my son and his car with his bike lock would be greatly appreciated. 

‘Thank you in advance. The incident took place last night at Elephant & Castle.’

The Metropolitan Police responded to the post saying ‘Please DM us, thank you’.
