Mikel Arteta STORMS OUT of post-match Sky Sports interview after questions about Arsenal’s failure to sign a striker and the title race as 1-1 draw at Man United leaves Gunners 15 points adrift

  • Arsenal were toothless up top as they dropped points for third straight game

Mikel Arteta stormed out of his post-match interview after being probed on whether Arsenal were down for the count in the Premier League title race.

The Gunners were dealt another hammer blow to their flailing title charge on Sunday, only being able to salvage a 1-1 draw at struggling Manchester United.

Dropping points for a third league game running, the result left Arsenal 15 points off runaway leaders Liverpool at the top of the pile, who now look even more nailed on to lift their 20th league championship and equal the record set by the Red Devils.

Arne Slot’s side only need a maximum of 16 points from their remaining nine outings to be crowned champions – and having only lost one league game all season, it would take a monumental capitulation for the Reds not to bring home the fabled trophy.

Arteta is now on the brink of failing in his pursuits of Premier League glory for a third straight season, hampered by an injury crisis that has left him without a single out-and-out striker at his disposal.

And when questioned on whether he regrets not bringing in attacking reinforcements in the summer by a Sky Sports interviewer, he wasn’t best pleased.
