Love Island star Danny Bibby had a lucky escape after his £250,000 McLaren supercar exploded while he was still inside it.
Danny was driving his McLaren 720S at 30mph when the rear of the car caught fire.
The 28-year-old said he got out of his car to try to put out the fire when the vehicle ‘exploded in his face’.
He told his Instagram followers he was forced to ‘sit and watch his dream car burn to the ground’.
The clothing brand owner shared a video of his car on fire accompanied with the caption ‘How’s your Monday?’
The video starts with Danny stood in front of his burning car saying ‘Don’t tell me you’re having a bad day. Wow’
The video then cuts to a clip of firefighters trying to put out the flames on his already destroyed McLaren.
Just four weeks ago, he posted a picture of himself picking up his dream car for the first time.

He said: ‘I was just driving at about 30mph, just outside Red Lion, and the next minute the car changed gear and the back end was on fire.
‘I pulled over, ran to the fire extinguisher. As I’m putting the fire extinguisher on, the car exploded in my face.
‘I basically had to just sit and watch my dream car just burn to the ground. Everyone just sat there and watched it.’
Danny added: ‘It’s pretty sad. Obviously, it’s a set back. I’m trying to switch it into a positive. I’m trying to see the positive in it but I’m not quite sure what that is yet.
‘But it’s happened for a reason but I don’t know why as yet.’
On his story, he shared an image of a new neck tattoo with the words ‘Heaven sent’, which he said he had got just ten minutes before his car caught fire.
Danny appeared on Love Island in 2021 and has since began running his own fragrance company and clothing line.
During his short stint on the show, Ofcom recieved 1,500 complaints after it was revealed he used the N-word in an old Instagram post.
