NEW DELHI: Lieutenant governor V K Saxena has approved temporary dissolution of Dialogue and Development Commission of Delhi (DDCD) and removal of its non-official members till a mechanism for screening and selection of domain experts as its vice-chairman and members is developed.
Making an observation on a file, which was moved by the services department of Delhi govt, LG said the entire exercise of creating DDCD by AAP govt was intended to extend financial benefits and patronage to “certain favoured political persons” of partisan inclinations.
The LG has also asked the finance department to humanely explore the possibility of recovering the salaries paid to the non-official members of DDCD.
