In a rare public sighting JK Rowling has been spotted cheering on Scotland as they beat Wales in the Six Nations.
The Harry Potter author has been previously very vocal about her love for Scottish rugby side and has even written them into the wizarding world.
Her Pottermore website suggests that wizards and witches have supported Scotland’s rugby team for centuries.
And if this is the case then the then the wizarding world would have been delighted as Scotland survived a late Welsh rally to secure a 35-29 victory.
Ms Rowling was pictured in the crowd alongside her husband Neil Murray as the couple joined nearly 70,000 fans at Murrayfield for the thrilling encounter.
She also posted to X (formerly Twitter) ahead of the game writing ‘Go Scotland! #AsOne’ alongside a picture of the pitch.
Scotland’s victory over Wales inflicted a record-extending 16th loss in a row on the visitors.
The five-try victory moves Scotland to 11 points from their four games, five behind leaders France, who they face in Paris next Saturday.

The author was born just outside of Bristol but has lived in Scotland for many years, which is where she penned the Harry Potter series.
Despite being English, Ms Rowling, 59, has lived in the Scottish capital since the early 1990s and started following the national team after marrying Dr Murray, 53, in 2001.
The children’s author surprised fans when she was first seen backing the Scots against England in 2018, telling them ‘after years of not caring about sport I got emotionally invested in Scotland’.
However, she has previously come under fire for her support of the Scottish rugby team as well as her vouch for Scottish Independance.
She was forced to defend herself from a barrage of abuse from SNP Cybernats because she tweeted about the Scottish rugby team’s heroic performance against Australia in the 2015 World Cup.
The dispute started after the Harry Potter author watched Scotland play in London, losing to Australia by a solitary point after the Wallabies scored in the dying minutes of the game in the quarter finals of the competition.
Ms Rowling posted ‘You were magnificent. You did us proud,’ after the heroic performance against a team that had already beaten England and Wales.
However, it seemed to have incensed the SNP ‘Cybernats’, a group of online trolls, who called her an ’80-minute patriot’, a ‘self-hating English woman’, and told her to ‘f*** off’.

The row even prompted an intervention from Scotland’s former First Minister Nicola Sturgeon.
She posted: ‘Note to my fellow independence supporters. People who disagree are not anti Scottish. Does our cause no good to hurl abuse (& it’s wrong).’
More recently she was seen cheering on Scotland to victory over England in last year’s Six Nations alongside her husband Mr Murray, who was sporting a kilt in the family tartan.
Ms Rowling famously produced her first Harry Potter books on an old typewriter in Edinburgh cafes while she was a struggling single mum.
