The ‘little people’ stars of Snow White are planning a class action lawsuit against Disney for replacing them with ‘cartoons’.
A top US lawyer has been appointed and is expected to file a claim against the studio alleging discrimination.
It is the latest headache for the company over its £215 million live-action remake of the classic 1937 cartoon.
Last week, it was revealed that little people actors were planning a rally outside Disney’s studios in California to protest over its use of CGI to portray the dwarfs.
Actress Ali Chapman, 50, who is 3ft 8in tall, said: ‘Seven talented little people actors could have played those roles in the live action remake and yet they chose to use cartoons. It’s an insult and discriminatory.’
Last month, a class action lawsuit was filed against Disney accusing it of discriminating against visitors with disabilities at its theme parks.
It claims it has introduced rules on passes that require them to disclose medical information ‘where other staff and guests could overhear’.
Disney denied the allegation, saying: ‘We are committed to providing a great experience for all… especially our guests with disabilities.’

The new Snow White film has already been hit by controversy.
Rachel Zegler, who plays Snow White, described Prince Charming as ‘a guy who literally stalks [her]’.
While Ms Zegler and Gal Gadot, who plays the Evil Queen, have allegedly clashed over the war in Gaza. Gadot served in the Israeli Defence Forces, while Ms Zegler has made pro-Palestine statements.
The song from the original movie, Someday My Prince Will Come, has been ditched in favour of a tune titled Waiting On A Wish.
And there is no Prince Charming – instead the love interest is a Robin Hood-style bandit named Jonathan.
The film made $16million at the US box office when it was released last week and is expected to rake in about $45million this weekend.

In contrast, Disney’s 2023 Little Mermaid remake made $95million in the US during its opening weekend.
Disney scaled back premieres after critics dubbed it ‘exhaustingly awful’.
The Daily Mail’s Brian Viner gave it two out of five stars, saying it was a ‘painfully muddle-headed affair’ and a ‘pale reimagining’.
A Disney executive told the MoS: ‘This new film is a disaster and the threat of a lawsuit by little people is on top of that disaster.’
