Fourth man arrested over Amy Rose Wilson’s death

A fourth man has been arrested in connection with the death of a woman in a crash in Falkirk last year.

Amy Rose Wilson died following the incident on New Carron Road on 29 July 2023.

The 23-year-old man was arrested at Stansted International Airport and is expected to appear at Falkirk Sheriff Court on 30 December.

Two other men – Andrew Gregoire, 28, and Anthony Davidson, 31 – are to stand trial accused of murder in March 2025, while Steven Hornsby, 54, is accused of trying to defeat the ends of justice in the incident, which he denies.

Ms Wilson, who was originally from Newcastle but had been living in Bo’ness, Falkirk, was the driver of a silver Vauxhall Vectra which collided with a black Volkswagen Tiguan at about 18:10.

A black C-Class Mercedes left the scene and was later recovered abandoned.

Ms Wilson, aged 27, was the driver of the Vauxhall and pronounced dead at the scene, while a 22-year-old male passenger was taken to hospital.

Mr Gregoire and Mr Davidson are said to have tried to steal drugs and money from Ms Wilson, which led to a car chase.

She was later forced off the road, leaving her fatally injured.

The two are also accused of attempted murder and trying to defeat the ends of justice, all of which they deny.

Lawyers for the men entered pleas of not guilty and lodged special defences of incrimination during a hearing at the High Court in Glasgow in June.

Police Scotland said its “thoughts remain with the family and friends of Amy”.
