A mother-of-two who taught prisoners to read has been charged with a plan to kidnap and kill her ex-boyfriend.

Former probation officer Paris Wilson, 34, is accused with plotting alongside a crime gang to throw sulfuric acid in Danny Cahalane’s face.

A personal trainer, the 38-year-old was attacked at his Plymouth home while his daughter was sleeping inside.

Police said Cahalane remains in a serious condition in hospital. He is reported to have been moved out of the city for safety.

Wilson, of The Quay in Plymouth, had previously worked as a probation officer and taught male lags to read and write by volunteering at Dartmoor Prison.

She cried in the dock at Plymouth magistrate’s court last week charged with conspiracy to murder and kidnap as well as participating in the criminal activity of an organised crime group.

‘Paris was trusted to access the prison and worked closely with inmates,’ a source told The Sun.

‘Nobody can believe she’s now locked up.’

Seven others have also been charged in relation to the attack.

Some also face drugs charges, while others face charges of possession of an offensive weapon.
