Emily captioned the post: ‘Our baby girl is going to be a big sister, so so so so excited to share that we’re expecting another little girl so much harder to hide this time around, made harder by HG which has been a huge and hard part of this pregnancy so far’.

Before adding: ‘I want to talk a lot more about that, and I will, but for now, here’s our wonderful news, we’re over the moon’.

However, the pregnancy was not all smooth sailing and in July Emily candidly opened up on her health battle with hyperemesis gravidarum (HG).

The podcast host shared in an emotional Instagram post that she had been hospitalised on various occasions.

She shared a slew of images from her hospital bed, and said while she couldn’t be more ‘grateful’ to be pregnant again, she’s been ‘suffering’.

In the caption, she penned: ‘The reality of the last few months. Alright off the bat I gotta say, I do not find HG easy to talk about, but I really want to.

‘I feel a responsibility to be honest about how hard this pregnancy has been, how hard it currently is, actually, for anyone else who is suffering, or who has suffered, to know that you’re not on your own.’

Hyperemesis gravidarum is the name for excessive nausea and vomiting during pregnancy and often needs hospital treatment.

For some women, they are sick many times a day and be unable to keep food or drink down, which can impact on their daily life.

Exactly how many pregnant women get HG is not known as some cases may go unreported, but it’s thought to be around 1 to 3 in every 100.
