Priscilla Presley has opened up about the latest tragedy to affect her family in a heartbreaking post.
Elvis Presley’s former wife, 78, took to Instagram on Wednesday to reveal that the late rock n roll star’s nurse Marian J. Cocke, who cared for Elvis at the end of his life, passed away at the weekend.
She shared a picture of herself with Marian and her and Elvis’s daughter, Lisa Marie, who died in 2023 at the age of 54 following a bowel obstruction.
Priscilla wrote: ‘Marian you will be greatly missed. Your spirit touched many people and especially Elvis.
‘You were the person that he always counted on. Thank you for always taking care of him.’
Marian cared for Elvis during the last years of his life between 1975 and 1977.

Marian opened up about caring for the king of rock n roll in her memoir, I Called Him Babe: Elvis Presley’s Nurse Remembers.
Fans were quick to flood Priscilla’s post with supportive comments after she shared the devastating news of Marian’s passing.
Comments included: ‘So very sorry for your loss, Priscilla. Marion is at the best place we can only imagine, condolences to her family and friends.
‘Priscilla you are so very beautiful and sweet. My heart aches for you. You have lost a million loves in your life’;
‘Rest in peace Marian. You and Elvis are together again but he is healthy now.
‘We know that Marian was important to the Presley family! My condolences to you and her family!’
Elvis passed away in 1977 at the age of 42 after suffering from cardiac arrhythmia at his Graceland home.
While drugs were initially said not to be involved in Elvis’s death, toxicology reports detected the presence of several opioids in his system, including Valium.

In the years prior, the singer’s health had been in sharp decline, and he was severely overweight, weighing are reported 350 pounds.
Pathologists found evidence of ‘severe and chronic constipation, diabetes and glaucoma’ in his system.
Marian’s death is latest tragedy to affect Priscilla after her daughter Lisa Marie’s untimely death.
In January, Priscilla paid tribute to Lisa Marie on the two-year anniversary of her death.
Priscilla shared a throwback snap of her daughter on Instagram, along with a heartfelt message about her passing.
‘I miss you more than words can say. I wish I could hold you, talk to you, see your smile just one more time,’ Priscilla began.
‘I wish you could see how much you are still loved, how deeply you are missed by all of us who carry you in our hearts.’ -Mom.’
Lisa Marie’s death followed the tragic suicide of her grandson, Benjamin Keough, who took his own life in 2020 at the age of just 27.

Lisa Marie was reported to have never been the same after Benjamin’s death.
Priscilla and Elvis were married for six years, from 1967 to 1973, after controversially meeting in 1959 when she was 14 and he was 24.
Priscilla remained close friends with her ex following their split, with the rock star even making ‘unannounced’ visits to her home.
‘We still we kept our relationship. We did. He would drop by my home unannounced, and I was going with someone by the way, and he would come unannounced,’ she previously told People.
‘Thank God it was two o’clock in the morning, and I knew who it was, so I quickly tried to get to the door before he rang the doorbell, and of course he came in, we went in the kitchen, we talked for a couple of hours.’
