Elon Musk trolls everyone with NSFW name change that TV anchors must now reluctantly say

Elon Musk has trolled everyone by changing his X account name to Harry Bōlz.

The tech billionaire got a laugh out of his name change Tuesday, especially when CNN news anchor Dana Bash was forced to say the X-rated title on-air.

Bash reluctantly looked at the camera and said: ‘Disruptor-in-chief, Elon Musk, who apparently has adopted the alias – at least he changed his social media handle to Harry Bōlz – tweeted this morning “Democracy in America is being destroyed by judicial coup. An activist judge is not a real judge”.’

His tweet was in response to the halting of executive orders brought forward by President Donald Trump, including a flood of legal challenges, followed by judicial rulings trying to slow down Musk’s efforts under the Depart of Efficiency (DOGE).

The Tesla CEO then retweeted the clip and poked fun at the liberal news station, writing: ‘Made them say my name,’ followed by several laughing emojis.

Musk, 53, has since changed his name back, as many praised him for his move, finding it hilarious.

Still, others praised his prank, calling it hilarious.

‘You broke the fake news again,’ one said.

‘This is amazing. The media is completely broken over it,’ wrote another.

Elon Musk left CNN anchor Dana Bash nearly speechless after she said his new X handle name, Harry Bōlz, on live TV Tuesday

‘Winning at every level!,’ someone else wrote, as another said that the name change ‘could be the most rewarding accomplishment of D.O.G.E.’

‘She actually said it. You can see the defeated look on her face LOL,’ someone else commented.

His brief name change also sparked a frenzy in the cryptocurrency world, as two Solana meme coins with the same name – Harry Bōlz – dramatically rose as one trader flipped a $156 investment into $52,000, decrypt reported.

This is not the first time Musk changed his handle to this name, as he previously did so back in April 2023.

‘Tbh, I’m just hoping a media org that takes itself way too seriously writes a story about Harry Bōlz …,’ he wrote at the time.

Musk has become a near-permanent fixture in the inner circle of President Donald Trump as the Republican appointed him as the head of the Department of Efficiency (DOGE) prior to him reentering the White House.

The creation of DOGE, or as Trump has called it, the ‘Manhattan Project of our time’, was first announced just days after the Republican was elected for his second term.

At first, the president chose Musk and former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy to co-lead the organization, but Ramaswamy, 39, suddenly exited his position before it hit the ground running.

He later sat down with Fox News’ Jesse Waters and explained that his departure was due to him pursuing a position as an elected official.

‘Well, the reality is, I’m pursuing an elected office very shortly. We will have an announcement soon,’ Ramaswamy answered.

Watters then asked Ramaswamy about the rumors that he and Musk weren’t getting along.

‘I think that’s incorrect,’ Ramaswamy replied. ‘But what I would say is, we had different and complementary approaches.’

Trump pledged that Musk would help him ‘dismantle’ government bureaucracy and ‘slash excess regulations, cut wasteful spending, and restructure Federal Agencies.’

And since Trump returned to the White House on January 20, Musk has been uncovering and dismantling projects that have been funded by billions of US taxpayers’ dollars.

On Tuesday, DOGE continued its purge of agencies spending loads of money on programs across the country.

Trump’s Department of Homeland Security fired the officials and agents in charge of finances at FEMA after it was revealed that the agency paid $59 million to luxury hotels in New York City to house illegal immigrants.

FEMA’s Chief Financial Officer Mary Comans lost her job and three others involved in the disbursement of the funds also lost their jobs, a DHS official disclosed to DailyMail.com.

‘Effective immediately, FEMA is terminating the employment of four individuals for circumventing leadership to unilaterally make egregious payments for luxury NYC hotels for migrants,’ Assistant DHS Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement.

‘Firings include FEMA’s Chief Financial Officer, two program analysts and a grant specialist,’ she noted.

Musk has also unleashed an army of handpicked baby-faced men with little-to-no government experience to help him dismantle America’s foreign aid agency -USAID.

The youngest, Edward Coristine, 19, has been appointed to take on corporate America and longstanding government institutions.

Musk’s DOGE has been rapidly growing in power and expanding its remit, most recently securing clearance to access to restricted parts of the General Services Administration buildings and IT systems.

These systems store sensitive data including social security numbers, addresses and contact information.

Despite taking down many agencies across the nation, on Saturday, a New York judge temporarily halted DOGE from accessing the US Treasury’s payment system.

District Judge Paul A. Engelmayer of the Southern District of New York granted a restraining order against the US Treasury Department and President Donald Trump after 19 states, including New York, who filed the request, demanded it.

The emergency restraining order commanded the immediate halt of giving access to Treasury information outside of those employed with the department.

On Tuesday,US District Judge Jeannette Vargas in Manhattan granted Secretary Scott Bessent access to the US Treasury Department’s payment data, but DOGE remains locked out, Bloomberg reported.

DOGE shifted its attention to the Department of Education sparking a mini revolution among agency bureaucrats as Musk’s army stormed into the building Tuesday afternoon.

Musk’s cronies Akash Bobba and Ethan Shaotran, both 22 years old, already have access to the department, NBC News reported.

Rep. Melanie Stansbury, (D-MD) described the terror agency staff are feeling after Musk’s team entered to ‘actively dismantle’ the department.

‘They are in the building, on the 6th floor, canceling grants and contracts,’ she said in an interview with HuffPost.

‘It’s not legal. They know it’s not legal. But they’re doing it anyway,’ Stansbury went on. ‘The only recourse we have right now is to go to the courts.’

She added that she expects the agency to be ‘dissolved in the coming days.’

Besides targeting frivolous spending, DOGE also ended life-saving HIV care that’s essential to global health and safety.

The US is by far the world’s largest donor of humanitarian aid, with USAID administering billions of dollars in humanitarian, development and security assistance in more than 100 countries.

USAID funding goes to programs on everything from women’s health in conflict zones to access to clean water, HIV/AIDS treatments, energy security and anti-corruption work.
