Celebrity Big Brother fans vent their fury as stars are rewarded with a party just hours after receiving their basic shopping (and they’re allowed an early night!)

When housemates move into Celebrity Big Brother house, they can usually expect a fair share of hardship.

But fans of this year’s series have noted that this year’s star-studded lineup are having a smoother ride than the civilian cast of series past, as they were rewarded with a party on Tuesday, just hours after receiving their basic shopping budget.

Having failed the pirates task earlier this week, the housemates were told they would only have an ecomony shopping budget, meaning little room for luxuries such as sweet treats and, in Danny Beard’s case, sesame oil.

But just hours after their shopping was delivered, it was revealed that the housemates would be competing for a chance attend a VIP party.

The Big Fame Board Game, housemates worked in teams to make their way across the game board, with Jack P Shepherd, Angellica Bell and Chesney Hawkes eventually crowned winners.

While the trio made the most of their VIP reception in the garden, later in the evening the other housemates joined them for a dance.

Viewers were quick to question why the celebrities had been treated to a party, with some calling for a return to series past, when they were forced to get by with minimal food and luxuries.

Other fans also noted that having tuned into the late-night livestreams, the bedroom lights have been dimmed for bedtime significantly earlier than the civilian run, when housemates are kept up well into the early hours.

It’s a point that’s been echoed by several stars of the civilian run, with former contestants including Emma Morgan and Kerry Riches noting on TikTok that celebrities have been enjoying far more freedoms than they had.

Posts on X included: ‘Why are they all in bed so bladdy early this series!?

‘Now they’ve failed can we NOT go and give them a party every other night…

‘Big Brother be like: ”You’ve got an economy shopping budget… but no worries, here’s a full on party with food and drink anyway!

‘They turn the lights off in the bedroom so early this year, not everyone is in bed yet

‘Housemates failed their shopping task and were given basic rations only to be given another task the next day and a whole a*s party as a reward. This series was ALMOST perfect!’

‘They shouldn’t be allowed a party on an economy shopping budget.’

Last year’s civilian run saw housemates see almost all their luxuries stripped away, including tea and coffee, after multiple rule breaks throughout the series.

On Tuesday, Trisha became the second housemate to be evicted from the Celebrity Big Brother house, just days after Mickey Rourke was removed from the show.

The veteran broadcaster, 67, had signed up for the ITV show to prove to patients they should ‘not be scared of living’ after being diagnosed with terminal stage four cancer.

But after going head-to-head with Patsy Palmer and Jack P Shepherd in the public vote, Trisha received the fewest number of votes to be saved, and so bid farewell after nine days on the show.

As Trisha headed out of the house, the presenter herself also admitting she was ‘a bit sad’ to be leaving the show.

Mickey was booted from the show on Saturday after exploding into a foul-mouthed rant amid an aggressive altercation with Love Island’s Chris Hughes, 32.

But before this he had already reduced TOWIE’s Ella Rae Wise, 24, to tears with a disgusting sexual comment and made a series of homophobic jibes to JoJo Siwa, 21, – which resulted in nothing more than a warning.
