The presenter,48, was decked out in Yuletide gold for the special episode, which airs on Christmas Day.
As part of the proceedings, her co-host Ben Shephard has organised for former Strictly Come Dancing professional Ian Waite to come and dance with her.
Together, the pair perform a perform a dazzling routine and impressive lift, which the other hosts judge.
Cat and Ben are joined by Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary on hosting duties for the one-off show.
Meanwhile, Josie Gibson makes an appearance as the ‘festive fizz fairy’ with refreshments for all to share.

She says: ‘I’m going to be in this all day long, I’m the ultimate festive fizz fairy.
‘I don’t know how I’m going to get up the stairs and I don’t know how I’m going to get to the loo at this stage but I’ll make it work…’
Just before the action stars, the multi award-winning show will open with a clip inspired by the Keira Knightley scene from the Christmas classic Love Actually.

The culinary star will be on hand to offer advice on all sorts of festive side dishes from sprouts to stuffing
Rob says: ‘Being part of Gavin & Stacey is one of the most secretive things… [But] there were parts in it that got me genuinely emotional, just from reading [the script].’
‘When we shot it, we all knew it was the last time we would be all together… This was surprisingly emotional… Everyone was in tears.’
In other Christmas telly news, Corrie stars Tina O’Brien, Jack P Shepherd and Ben Price will be present to talk about their memories working with Helen Worth ahead of her Gail Platt exit.
