Cameron Stewart: Carrick Rangers defender suffers brain aneurysm

Carrick Rangers defender Cameron Stewart is in hospital after suffering a brain aneurysm earlier this week.

The Irish Premiership club released a statement on Friday to confirm that the 28-year-old has had “successful surgery” and is now being “carefully monitored and resting”.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with Cameron and his family at this time,” the statement continued, external.

Stewart joined Carrick from Glentoran in 2022 after spells with Linfield, Ards and Glenavon.
