BBC reporter Bernd Debusmann Jr asked US President Donald Trump if he believed a return to pre-2014 Ukraine borders was likely.
It came after Trump said he would “likely” meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in Saudi Arabia to discuss the Russia-Ukraine war.
US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth earlier said it was “unrealistic” to expect Ukraine to return to its pre-2014 borders and downplayed the prospect of Ukraine joining Nato.
