The late Queen Elizabeth, who hosted Donald Trump three times in 18 months, became adept at impersonating the US President.
Less known, however, is that the monarch also had a take on his rarely heard wife Melania.
A source, who was present when she was asked to render the First Lady, says that HM would go silent, put on a bored face and eventually mutter: ‘I want to be alone’ à la Marlene Dietrich.

It seems the Queen felt sorry for the latest Mrs Trump.
Royals who are unenthusiastic about meeting Trump could always hide.
The late Queen told of how she, her parents King George VI and Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, along with Princess Margaret, took refuge at Windsor when President Eisenhower and US top brass were being given a tour.
Her Majesty recalled: ‘We all dived under the table and hid until this party had gone round. Afterwards, my father told the story to Eisenhower who was so staggered by the King of England hiding under his own dinner table… It always amused him.’
Sports presenter Gabby Logan recalls how her father, the former Welsh footballer and manager Terry Yorath, cultivated his children’s competitive streak.
‘Whatever it was, we could find a competition in it,’ she tells Gold Minds podcast.
‘On long car journeys, we’d make up games and one of the cruellest was how long you can keep a wet wipe in your mouth. And my sister and I would surreptitiously take it out and my poor little brother would still have his in – be going green, about to be sick.’

Did the BBC make a hash of managing its announcement that Anna Foster would replace Mishal Husain on Radio 4’s Today show?
Sunday titles carried the leak, with Paddy O’Connell embarrassing Mrs Foster at Broadcasting House as she plugged another programme.
‘My paper says you are going to be the new host of the Today programme,’ he said.
‘Oh does it?’ replied Mrs Foster. ‘I haven’t seen it as yet. You are a ball of mischief.’ After that, the BBC gave up its ‘no comment’ line.

And how will Anna fare alongside fellow Northern host Emma Barnett?
Beeb sources whisper that the more genial Anna has been deemed a ‘less divisive’ choice for listeners compared with the more abrasive show pony Emma!

Embracing actress Pamela Anderson’s makeup-free regime, turbo-tongued socialite Kathy Lette heads off to a party.
‘Let the world take me as I am,’ the 66-year-old mother-of-two declares.
‘But the reaction from my friends was not so positive. Was I ill? Had there been a death in the family? One pal didn’t even recognise me.’
To paraphrase Oscar Wilde, you’d require a heart of stone not to laugh.
