A supposed Palestinian migrant who called for the ‘death of all Jews’ hurled pipe bombs at Israeli forces, a newly unearthed video appears to show.
Horrifying footage from one of Abu Wadee’s social media accounts shows the militant, who claims to be from Gaza, appearing to light and then throw the incendiary device while fighting defence forces at the border with Israel.
The video was posted on Wadee’s Facebook page in 2021.
Other posts included images of him brandishing various assault rifles, posing behind a high explosive artillery shell, and another in which he appeared to hold a tear gas canister in his mouth during apparent clashes at the border with Israel.
Although he left the Middle East before the October 7 massacres in 2023, Wadee appears to have been a prominent member of the so-called ‘Tire-burning Unit’ – a militant group of Palestinian extremists who regularly hurled fire-bombs and rocks at Israeli forces manning the border with Gaza.
It caused him to be treated as a ‘minor celebrity in Gaza’ for the Palestinian cause, an expert said last night, further underlining calls for Wadee to be deported.
The 33-year-old remains in custody after pleading not guilty to unlawfully entering the UK when he appeared before magistrates in Manchester yesterday.

Abu Wadee who called for the ‘death of all Jews’ was arrested by the Home Office ‘s Immigration Enforcement unit on Sunday night
He was arrested by the Home Office’s Immigration Enforcement unit on Sunday night.
Joe Truzman, a terrorism expert and editor of the Long War Journal, who has tracked Wadee for more than seven years, also said he was affiliated with terror groups in Gaza.
Mr Truzman said: ‘He came to prominence in 2018 when there were riots and demonstrations on the border with Israel.
‘(He) was a part of a group, or units made up of young men, organised by terror groups, who would foment violence at the Gaza-Israel border.
‘He is lucky he wasn’t killed. These units would set fires and throw IEDs at Israeli soldiers during clashes at the border.
‘He posted a lot of what he did on Facebook. During this period, he became a minor celebrity in Gaza. He describes himself as a revolutionary for the Palestinian cause.’
Mr Truzman said he believes Wadee left Gaza around 2021 and went to Syria, then Switzerland, before heading through Western Europe to the UK, charting his journey on social media.

He added: ‘The UK authorities could not have looked at his social media because it would have raised immediate red flags. They must do their due diligence and look into him.’
Wadee is one of the 235 migrants picked up on four small boats in the English Channel on Thursday.
But The Mail on Sunday subsequently revealed he called for Allah to ‘punish [Jews] completely’ and is a former key member of a militant group that has terrorised Israel.
It heaped pressure on the Home Office to act, after senior politicians demanded the public be told what they know about Wadee, and to deport him.
However, the Home Office’s own guidelines effectively prevent people being sent back to war-ravaged Gaza.
He faces a four-year jail term if convicted of unlawfully entering the UK.
