A motorbike rider has died after a driver in a McLaren supercar smashed into him in an alleged hit-and-run.
The crash, between a white Yamaha motorcycle and a purple McLaren, occurred on the M2 near Medway, Kent, at around 2:30pm on Sunday.
Both vehicles were travelling in the same direction on the coastbound carriageway of the M2, between junctions 3 and 4.
While emergency services were called to the scene, the motorbike’s rider, described by Kent Police as a man in his thirties, was confirmed dead at the scene of the crash.
The driver of the car failed to stop at the scene, but cops later found him and arrested him in connection with the collision.
He remains in custody as enquiries continue.
Kent Police have asked witnesses to the crash to come forward, and are asking for any dashcam footage ‘capturing the manner of driving from either vehicles prior to the collision too.’
Earlier today, National Highways said Kent Police had closed the entire motorway between Junction 3 and Junction 4.

While the London-bound side was re-opened 90 minutes later, the coastbound carriageway, where the crash took place, remains shut.
National Highways said it expects the route will ‘remain shut for the rest of the day.’
It said: ‘The London-bound carriageway has reopened.
‘There are 20 minute delays coastbound on the approach to Junction 3.’
