Andrew Briggs was up early to catch this scene on Rannoch Moor. He said it was “just as the sun rose and caught the top of the mountains”.

Lisa Bryson captured this unusual “hair ice” at The Hermitage in Dunkeld. The phenomena forms on moist, rotting wood from broadleaf trees when temperatures are slightly under 0 °C (32 °F) and the air is humid

Ian Lamb saw these boats in Arbroath Harbour “colourfully reflecting on the festive season”

Aditi Mazumder was lucky enough to stumble on this wintery scene in a Churchyard on the south side of Edinburgh

Derek Mooney said “nothing in this photo was planned” after being lucky enough to capture a scene straight off a shortbread tin. “I’ll never take another photo like this again, thanks to this beautiful creature,” he said.

Alistair Warwick was on hand to capture this goosander fishing for a lamprey at the Caul on the river Nith in Dumfries
